
SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 20
(By Senators Unger, Snyder, Redd and Ross)
Recognizing the service of Leadership Berkeley for its service,
dedication and commitment to Berkeley County.

Whereas, Leadership Berkeley is dedicated to the development
and enhancement of Berkeley County, West Virginia; and

Whereas, The objective of Leadership Berkeley is to promote
knowledge and awareness of the problems, opportunities and issues
facing Berkeley County; and

Whereas, Leadership Berkeley is designed to provide a series
of educational and participatory experiences, as well as an
opportunity for dialogue and the development of a correlation among
participants in order to encourage local participation in the
growth of Berkeley County; and

Whereas, Leadership Berkeley whose members include individuals
from nearly every facet of Berkeley County's business,
professional, religious, governmental, educational, civic groups,
the arts, organized labor and minority organizations, demonstrates
a commitment to the community; and

Whereas, The 1999-2000 members of Leadership Berkeley consist
of Judy Faul, Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce; Jerry
Mays, team leader; Peter Allphin, Cedar Ridge Childrens Home; Leslie Crabill, Fargo Insurance; David Ditto, Super Lube; Lt.
Commander Michael Fisher, U. S. Coast Guard; Pat Harrison,
Huntington National Bank; Mary Hayward, F & M Bank-West Virginia;
Karen Hensell, One Valley Bank; Michael Hockman, General Motors;
Beverly Hoffmaster, Berkeley County Schools; Margaret Kursey,
Valley View Elementary School; Courtney Munsterman, Valley College
of Technology; Kay Potter, Long & Foster Real Estate; Marsha Sabol,
City National Bank; Deborah Sebert, Berkeley County Development
Authority; Forrest Sevigny, The Woods Resort; Andrew Smith, Cox
Nichols Hollida, CPA's; Bradley Snowden, Martin & Seibert;
Christopher Strovel, Prettyman Broadcasting; Edward Wilson, Systems
Planning & Analysis; and Scott Wood, Veterans Administration
Medical Center; therefore, be it

Resolved by the Senate:

That the Senate hereby recognizes the accomplishments,
commitment and dedication of Leadership Berkeley for its service to
the citizens of Berkeley County; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the members of "Leadership Berkeley"
promote progress in the growth and enhancement of Berkeley County,
which is one of the fastest growing areas in West Virginia; and, be
it

Further Resolved, That the Clerk is hereby directed to forward a copy of this resolution to the appropriate officials of
Leadership Berkeley.
